5 Tips on Getting your Body Summer Ready
Yes it is that time of the year again when you see more and more people out running, cycling, walking .... just trying to get themselves in shape for the Summer Holidays which are (wait for it.....)
3 months away!
In January this year we added the ROON Activewear to our collection and so I thought it suited to ask Chloe K, personal coach and Instagram influencer (@fitmomcapetown), for her top 5 tips on getting your body summer ready.
This is what she had to say:
Cardio. Get that heart pumping and endorphins flowing. There's nothing quite like it when it comes to losing weight and resetting your body.
Start your day with a cup of warm water with lemon, apple cider vinegar and a dash of cayenne pepper. No better way to kickstart your system in the morning! Drink loads of water throughout to help your body flush toxins, hydrate and let go of any extra water retention.
Intermittent fasting. I do the 16:8 method (8/9pm-12/1pm). This method helps the body to remain in caloric deficit which is helpful when wanting to get into shape.
Think fresh, hydrating fruits and veg - Watermelon, peaches, oranges, cucumber, tomatoes, celery, spinach, zucchini, lettuce, to name a few. Lean, unprocessed meat and protein. Limited carbs (ESPECIALLY processed carbs, bread, pasta etc). Cut (or limit) processed sugar, salt and alcohol.
SWEAT! Heated yoga or sauna at least twice a week. It really helps the body to get rid of excess toxins and water retention. With the added bonus of it being fantastic for your mind.
And of course .... to get you motivated in a stunning new active set (or two). Do not forget to shop our range which is now marked down to R499 per set. They are a STEAL. We only have a few let so grab them now before they are all gone
