Well in case you have not been counting – or paying attention to the calendar – we have 10 days until October (HOLY MOLY – that just dawned on me too …..)
Now October is technically still “spring” but we South Africans know that we don’t really have spring. It is winter – a few warm days and then it is HELLO SUMMER ….. or in the case of 2022 …..
Yellow has never been my colour (personally) as I tend to glow yellow when I wear it but that does not mean that I have not been very aware of the trend that has blossomed this year. Not only is yellow a happy and friendly colour, but you cannot help but associate it with summer when you think of blossoming flowers and honeybees hopping from one yellow centred daisy to the next.
So this week I thought I would dive into some of the ways you can enjoy the yellow trend this season. So let’s get into it …..
Style 1 – Just full-on OWN the colour
Wear it in full, from top to bottom – be it a dress or a pants suit! Rock the colour and love it. This look works really well for the ladies with the darker olive and mocha skin tones.
Style 2 – Wear it with White
I must say I love this look. The white brings a fresh POP to the colour. It is also a look that can work well for a summer Saturday party or a slightly lighter look for the office.
Style 3 – Pair it with Jeans
This one is a lovely look for the weekend – and let’s face it – Yellow and Blue just work so well together. This look is a no-brainer.
Style 4 – Accessories with it.
If the colour intimidates you the way it does me … then opt for a more subtle slow start to your yellow fashion statement with an accessory. Be it earrings, a scarf or a bag – this allows you to still wear what makes you feel comfortable and POP that colour into your look on days you feel a little more daring.
On that note …. Let’s talk about Antelo’s new Chartreuse Yellow.
This is a limited run of this stunning colour. And for those of you who are not quite sure what Chartreuse Yellow is …. (To be honest I had to Google it too).
“Chartreuse yellow is a yellow colour mixed with a small amount of green; it was named because of its resemblance to the colour of another French liqueur called yellow chartreuse, introduced in 1838.”
So if you are looking for something yellow to add to your wardrobe this summer, shop the Antelo Chartreuse Yellow range.
